FAQ

How do you photograph weddings?

How I photograph weddings depends on the client. First I gather information about your day, then tailor my photography timeline to focus on what you'd like. The photography timeline outlines what I'll be doing and where I'll be during your wedding day to give you peace of mind that I'm organized and on top of it.

On your wedding day, I want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. That's why I typically shoot in a non-intrusive documentary style.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes, I do! I would love to travel to your dream wedding destination, I love exploring new locations!

Please contact me for pricing if you're thinking of having a destination wedding, as pricing varies depending on the location.

Can I book a second shooter?

You can add second shooters to your session for an additional fee. Please let me know if you are interested in a second shooter when booking the session.

Sometimes depending on the type of shoot and how long I will be on location, I may require an assistant. I will let you know in advance if someone will be assisting me during your session. (Assistants do not cost extra but depending on the length of the photo session may require a meal - just as second shooters do.)

Can I extend the session on the day of?

Yes! If I have time in my schedule, I can stay longer! If you have pre-paid for your session, no worries! I will simply invoice you accordingly, and you can pay after! (Payment must be made before delivery of photos.)

What kind of gear do you use?

My gear consists of Full-frame Canon and Sony bodies with various Canon, Sony, and Sigma lenses.

In other words, I have high-resolution camera bodies and excellent lenses that capture each moment in beautiful high definition. In addition, I have multiple flashes and soft boxes (if requested) to perfectly light each situation.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

I'm based in Listowel Ontario, Canada. Yes, I love to travel! If you would like me to photograph your story, it may require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place.

What are your travelling fees?

MINI / HOURLY:
A Travelling fee will be applied to all mini and hourly sessions that are not located within the Listowel area.

WEDDINGS:

*The travelling fee is 55¢ per kilometre.

Do you work with budgets?

Yes! I understand everyone has a budget. If you have a set budget for the photography of your wedding, please let me know, and we can do our best to work within it!

When and how will we receive our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link to all your photos within 9-12 weeks (it could be less, depending on the season I photograph your event).

Images will be available to download from your online custom gallery and shareable with family and friends!

You can also rush order your photos; please contact me for more information on rush orders.

How many pictures will we receive?

The number of photographs will depend on how much time you have booked.

The number of photos received relies upon the subject's cooperation and environment. All photo sessions are different and require more or less documenting depending on what happens, especially if travelling is necessary within the booked hours.

When I edit, I choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story. This means not leaving you overwhelmed with too many images but providing the perfect amount to reflect on each part of your day.

Can I order prints through you?

I am currently not printing images through my business. Although I highly recommend ordering prints from a professional. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab!

Why do photographers charge what they do?

This is one of the most common questions photographers get asked...why do you guys charge so much?

I know it may seem very expensive looking from the outside, but in reality, sometimes we sell ourselves short.

Firstly, the gear we have is expensive, plus most of us also have monthly overhead costs like insurance, editing programs, website fees, etc. Then there's the time involved in every step of a photo session: the planning (emails, forms, meetings, timeline creating, etc.), the photo taking, then the editing. And man... editing can take a while if you have 3000+ wedding photos to pick through, edit, organize, then upload to the client gallery.

So if you were wondering, now you know! :)
